In Memory of Kris Mastin

Kris Mastin was an endless champion of the “underdog.”  She was the one on the school playground who always looked for the kid who was left out and invited them to play.  At the race, she cheered for the long shot. And as a pet lover, she always looked for the soul that was just a little more needy, a little bit older, and perhaps even a little broken. She often adopted older animals knowing that they needed her the most, and, while their time with her may have not been as long, it was filled with so much love.
Kris passed away on June 23 after a mighty battle with Colon Cancer.  Nothing would have made her happier than knowing that her lifelong example serves to save many more lives.  We invite you to donate to save our Underdogs in honor of Kris.

Underdogs Animal Rescue is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit all-breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to changing the perception of the “underdog” – the forgotten ones, the misunderstood ones, the ones that get picked last (or don’t get picked at all…). We give these longshots the opportunity to beat the odds, confident that they will prove that the underdog is the best dog, every single time.
