The first time I met Rosie, I cried. She was 5 months old, energetic, and had just arrived to Denver from Kansas City. My husband and I were going to spend a few hours with her to decide if we were going to adopt her from Underdogs Animal Rescue. It took all of 10 seconds for me to decide she was joining our family after she climbed in my lap on the drive home and wouldn’t stop licking my face. Like I said, I cried the whole way home and kept asking her, “Are you going to be my dog?” Adopting Rosie was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made.
