Sammi (Samet) came to us from Thailand where she lived at en elephant sanctuary until being flown here in late 2016. She's been fostering with the same Underdogs foster ever since and they think she's just a sweet, sweet doll! When she first arrived in the U.S., she would hide under the couch or bed all day and only come out at night, but she's improved about 1000%. She really likes familiar situations, places, dogs, and people. (For instance, she LOVES her dog friends.) Walks and car rides are still a bit spooky, but she makes strides every day. She loves cuddling in bed at night, and does NOT like being crated. In short, Sammi is a sweet, gentle, timid lovebug who is searching for her very patient and understanding forever home.
Underdogs Rescue has partnered up with the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand to help save some of the 400+ dogs they have living on the sanctuary. While most of these dogs have come to the park following natural disasters or from situations some of us couldn't even fathom, these dogs are full of heart and ready to begin a new life in the US with a family to love them!! More information about ENP can be found on their website here: http://www.elephantnaturepark.org/ Help us help them by fostering or adopting one or more of these sweet babies looking for a new life!
Sammi is spayed, up-to-date on basic vaccinations and microchipped. Our Underdogs adult dog adoption fee is $300, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
If you're interested in adopting Sammi, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/
Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!
