Meet Blondie! The bestest pal of all four-legged friends, this sweetie is loving her life outside of the slammer (due to poor life choices by former two-legged people, we found her with our friends at a local shelter partner and couldn't resist jail-breaking her!). Blondie has loved learning about all the great things of indoor living and is the cuddle queen! She enjoys walks, going on car rides, and watching movies. She also loves tilting her head to the sound of all kinds of caninen howls on Animal Planet :).

Blondie spent many (too many) of her puppy months growing up in the shelter on a court case hold and is still learning to brave the outside world, and needs a little time and patience to warm up to new people.  She does well when meeting new peeps with her confident dog friends around, as long as the new human friends allow her to come around to them at her own time and pace. After 10-15 minutes, and some yummy snacke, Blondie will be beggin’ for some lovin’!

Blondie is a, best guess, one year-old, 60 lb, Husky/Shepherd and some other crazy cute Northern breed mix. Because of her past, Blondie's best fit adopters will have Northern breed experience, as well as experience with and commitment to the time, patience and training required in helping shyer dogs learn their continued braveries. Blondie learns so much about those braveries from other confident dogs, so her right fit forever home will need at least one confident resident pup. Our Blondie girl is a product of poor irresponsible breeding and has some genetic hip issues, where she was born with malformed hip bones. Blondie doesn't let her hips stop her from bounding around the world (albeit with a slight hitch in her giddy up) at top speed and she LOVES wrestling with her doggie friends. Our vet does not believe that surgery is a viable option, but he also believes that she is not in any pain and that any future pain can be helped with common pain managment measures.

Blondie is such an incredibly endearing and special girl and she can't wait to meet you!

If you're interested in adopting Blondie, please fill out an adoption application here:
