Bear is a super handsome and distinguished elder gent, who loves squeaky toys, tiny humans and couch cuddles with his peeps. He is great with the small dogs at his foster home and we anticpate that he'd do well with bigger pups too. Bear is also incredibly gentle and inquisitive when it comes to kids of all ages - he and the one and half year-old kiddo at his foster home are best friends. He is such an endearing and good-natured buddy, it's impossible not to fall in love with Bear.

Bear, was brought into a local shelter just before Christmas after he was hit by a car 💔. He was unable to walk and covered in lacerations and matted fur when he first arrived, but our guy has come such a long way since then! Bear now happily prances around his foster digs, making sure to spread the fluffy love to everyone! While Bear has excellent house manners and is definitely housetrained, our vet thinks that Bear suffered some nerve damage from being hit that continues to affect his ability to go number two on his own. He's a pro at number one outside, but will strain and strain to be able to do his two business. After his efforts, and once he's back laying down, the small hard twos will usually come sliding out. (Bear apologizes for the TMI about his bathroom habits, but tries to get over his embarassment by reminding himself, "everybody twos" :) ) Bear's current condition is very manageable with the help from his favorite humans, medication and other management techniques. It's also possible that he'll regain some of his two functions, as his the nerve damage heals. Being able to be love and be loved by this very special guy, makes his small special needs completely worth takin care of.

Bear is a (best guess) 9-10 year-old 25 lb. pomeranian mix. You're going to love this buddy and he can't wait to meet you!

It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the initial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!
