Halloo! While I hail from Kansas, don't call me Toto; my name is Simon. While I was biding my time in Kansas I had some bum luck that left me with a shattered pelvis. Fortunately, my luck turned around and I was brought to Colorado, land of dog lovers, to recuperate. My bones are all healed and I'm left with an adorable hitch in my gait. I'm working on my confidence and trusting skills now.
I'm just a little guy (9 lbs), you see, so I gotta look out for big feet and other creatures zooming by me. My foster brother and sister have learned to be careful around me and I don't mind them so much anymore. I would be happy to make my forever home in a house with other dogs as long as they are smaller and/or very calm. The foster cat in this house though really brings out my canine instincts so I'd prefer that there are no cats in my forever home. I like my quiet space, and my quiet time - old man like, so only older, quiet kids please (if any at all!)
Other fantastic things about me: My foster lady says I look more like a chiweenie (Chihuaha Dachsund mix) than a full Chihuaha. She says that means I'm doubly cute. I have beautiful fawn colored fur like an exotic Abyssinian cat (that's what my foster lady says). Next to food, cuddling is my main priority. If it's possible for me to cuddle AND burrow, I'm in heaven. Foster lady says 97% potty trained (just 2 accidents while I was learning how to ask to go out). I'm just 2 1/2 years old so we can have many years together!
