Greetings and salutations, Colorado, it’s me, McLovin’! I like to fancy myself a courteous and honorable gent, and my mom always told me begging is bad manners, but the Underdogs assured me that begging for a hero to help save you is the exception to that rule.
Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is McLovin’ and I’m a 5 year-old gentle giant American Bulldog/Boxer mix buddy, currently residing at an amazing foster home. My new human foster sister is pretty much my best friend. My Underdogs foster folks can only surmise that I was once somebody’s well-loved guy before I ended up in the dog clink (phew, it such a relief when the Underdogs sprung me). Which sounds about right, since I have impeccable bathroom manners, walk myself politely on my leash and lounge quietly in my new foster digs. Plus, my 4 year-old foster sister is teaching me tons of new cool tricks, like sit, down and wait like a patient McLovin' (I'm so good at that one, because I'm a pro at patience).
I’ll never know why my previous peoples stopped loving me and why they left me to wander the cold winter streets alone. What I do know, though, is that I’ve never stopped loving the peoples, ALL the peoples. Because man alive, do I love them! I could sweetly lean into them for pets and cuddles all day long. And if they gave me proper permission, I’d also happily cover them in my signature McLovin’ smooches. It’s also my sole mission in life to make them laugh with my hilarious antics and brilliant knock knock jokes. The thing is, though, I mostly just like to be a one-dog act. Even though I can happily walk past other canines on my leash, when they get into my very close personal space, they annoy me too much. I mean, it’s natural to not want your peers all up in your business, right? So I'd love a home where I'm you're only four-legged best bud.
If you’re interested in learning more about me and hopefully set up a meeting, please fill out an adoption application at https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/. Our Underdogs adult dog adoption fee is $300, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!
Also, for additional persuasion, check out the videos of me being just being super gentlemanly.
