At just under 2 years old, Logan joined Underdogs after a long stint in a Missouri shelter. Having called the shelter home for almost 5 months, Logan kept getting overlooked and it broke the hearts of the shelter volunteers, who had all quickly fallen for this wonderful boy. He was too special to be stuck, so they reached out to us and since the day he arrived in Colorado, Logan has been showing us all the reasons he stole the hearts of his volunteer friends.
Logan is a lover. He loves humans and his canine foster sister. He loves watching the resident chickens (maybe a little too much, so any other animals like cats may be a little much for him to handle). He walks well on a leash, though could use a little practice sometimes, and is highly motivated to do the right thing (especially if treats are involved). He is a play hard, cuddle hard kind of guy.
Logan was very kind to a toddler that he met, but doesn't quite know his own size and would do best with small humans that are experienced walkers. While unsuccessful, Logan has come close to jumping over a 6 foot wooden fence during a particularly active squirrel patrol session. So while he would love a yard, he would need to be supervised at all times. He hasn't had a lot of playtime with other dogs, but he won the heart of the toughest of broads (his foster sister) as soon as he arrived.
Our buddy has had a lot of changes in his short life and is anxious worrying about his humans returning to him, so he will need some training and support as he settles in. But in the few weeks at his foster home, as he has settled into his new routine, he is already showing a lot more confidence when left to his own devices. Logan is a quiet dog, who rarely barks, so no worries if you have close neighbors!
Logan is neutered, up-to-date on basic vaccinations and microchipped. Our Underdogs adult dog adoption fee is $350, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
If you're interested in adopting Logan, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/
Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!
